Emmanuel is a cobbler and a father of nine. He is well-known in his village for being good at repairing shoes and slippers. His wife is a farmer they live together in a four room mud-built house for his family’s shelter.
In June 2021, Emmanuel developed a small painless neck swelling that has slowly been increasing in size. He thought it was a short-term condition at the start and did not bother to seek medical attention. But now the swelling has become painful to the extent that he experiences sleepless nights, causing him to become very worried. He came to our medical partner Rushoroza Hospital to seek medical attention and asks for help.
On April 14th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Emmanuel needs help to raise $145 to fund this procedure.
Emmanuel says, “I seek to live a normal life once again through surgery because I am in severe pain. I hope to continue my cobbler duties as soon as I recover and heal.”
