Jackline is a loving mother and 29-year-old who works in a saloon near her town. She is a mother of one girl who is in nursery school. Jackline is married and her husband operates a motorcycle taxi. The family shares a double room and, together, Jackline and her husband provide for the basic needs of their family.
Three years ago, Jackline began to experience troubling symptoms, including anterior neck swelling and later started having breathing difficulties. She was diagnosed with nodular goitre. She has been to various hospital and in one of the facility, she was requested to pay over $800 which she could not raise. However, she needs surgery to prevent her symptoms from getting worse.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Jackline receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy on November 2nd at our medical partner’s care center. Surgeons will remove all or part of her thyroid gland. This procedure will cost $252, and she and her family need help raising money.
Jackline says, “my only hope of getting better again is the surgery for which I request your kind support.”
