Evidence is a 33-year-old woman and a single mother of two children from Uganda. She completed high school and obtained a qualification in procurement and finance management, but has been unable to find a job in her field.
Five years ago, Evidence began to experience troubling symptoms, including unexplainable headaches, neck pains, breathlessness, and heart palpitations when climbing hills as she tended to the gardens. She was diagnosed with a multinodular goiter. She needs surgery to prevent her symptoms from getting worse.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Evidence receive treatment. On February 12th, she is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy, where surgeons will remove all or part of her thyroid gland. This procedure will cost $333, and she and her family need help raising money.
Evidence says, “I pray that I may be helped by this program to get the surgery that has been recommended. I am praying, and I believe that if all goes well, I will return to normal after complete recovery and will be able to continue taking care of myself and my children.”
