Khey is a sixth grader from Cambodia. He is the youngest of six children, and he likes playing football with his friends.
In January, he was playing with a rubberband and accidentally hit himself in the eye. Khey developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Khey learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On October 11, doctors will perform a lensectomy and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope I can see clearly again.”
