John is 40 years old and a farmer from Uganda. He and his wife have eight children. They engage in small-scale farming to support their family.
For fifteen years, John has had a right inguinal hernia. He feels intense pain when performing daily activities such as digging, walking, or carrying heavy items. One week ago, he came to our medical partner’s care center, Rwibaale Hospital, as his condition worsened. The doctor recommended that he undergo a hernia repair surgery to relieve the pain and prevent further complications. However, John explained that he is unable to afford the full hospital bill and is now appealing for support.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. On October 7th, he will undergo surgery that will, hopefully, allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. John needs your help to raise $234 to fund his procedure and care.
John says, “I hope to get rid of the pain and resume my duties of farming after recovery.”
