Houn is a 38-year-old rice and crop farmer from Cambodia. He is married with two sons and one daughter. Houn enjoys listening to classical music and watching Thai dramas on TV. Houn traveled two hours with his wife to reach our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), for treatment.
Houn developed a pterygium in each eye 2 years ago. This causes him burning, irritation, and redness. He can’t see clearly and is uncomfortable.
Houn’s doctors told him that he needed to have the pterygium removed from each eye, which will relieve his pain and irritation and improve his vision. In total, the procedure, supplies, drugs, and inpatient care will cost $148. Houn’s family needs financial assistance to complete payment.
Houn will have his vision cleared after full recovery from his surgery, and will be able to work again.
