Hadija is a 10-year-old girl who lives with her grandmother and aunt in Ungalimited, Arusha City. Hadija’s grandmother supports her family by selling fried fish by the roadside. Though her income is small, she remains hopeful that Hadija can receive the treatment she needs to lead a better life.
Hadija has clubfoot on her left foot. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. The tissues connecting the muscle to the bones are shorter than usual and this causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes.
Fortunately, Hadija’s family traveled to visit our medical partner’s care center, Kafika House. Surgeons will begin clubfoot treatment on December 13th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,119 to fund Hadija’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, she will be able to walk easily and walk well.
Hadija’s grandmother said, “I wish for her to get treatment and continue to lead a good life. Please help my granddaughter.”
