Sokha is a high school teacher from Cambodia who loves reading and playing with his four children in his spare time.
When Cambodia was at war in the 1970’s, Sokha suffered a gunshot wound to his leg. Now, years later, some of the scar tissue around the old wound has grown thick, creating a contracture which is causing issues with mobility. It’s become so bad that Sokha cannot properly bend his leg, and walking is extremely difficult.

Sokha received contracture release surgery to improve mobility in his leg.
The operation was a great success! Although Sokha’s skin graft required a lot of post-op care with the physiotherapy staff, he is now back at home. Sokha will continue to regain more function in his leg, making his every day life much easier. Thanks to your support, he will be walking normally and enjoying his teaching duties again in no time!
