Darline is a 39-year-old woman from Haiti. She has a six-year-old child and lives with her family. She is a seamstress by trade, and loves creating garments for her clients. In her free time, she enjoys watching TV and spending time with her family.
In July of 2016, Darline noticed a small mass in her right breast. A few months later, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and began chemotherapy treatment. While chemotherapy has reduced her number of cancerous cells, Darline has decided to undergo mastectomy surgery to ensure that all of the cancer is removed.
On March 17, Darline will undergo surgery at St. Luc Family Hospital, our medical partner’s care center. Our medical partner, Innovating Health International, is asking for $1,085 to cover the cost of her treatment.
After her operation, Darline looks forward to being healthy again and raising her child with full attention and energy.
