Heang is 73 years old. She has five sons, two daughters, and 20 grandchildren. In her free time, Heang likes to listen to monks praying at the pagoda and on the radio.
Heang developed a cataract in her right eye about two years ago, causing blurred vision and a burning sensation. It is difficult for Heang to see things clearly, do any type of work, or go places on her own. Heang is worried about becoming blind in the future.
Heang traveled with her daughter for three hours to reach our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, for medical treatment. On March 16, Heang will undergo phacoemulsification surgery followed by an intraocular lens implant. Surgeons expect Heang to make a full recovery.
With $153 we can help Heang see clearly again!
