Namanya is a businesswoman from Uganda. She is the third of six children, with two brothers and two sisters. Namanya grew up as a determined and hardworking young lady. During her school days, she would walk over 10 kilometers daily to attend classes. However, after completing Senior 4, she felt exhausted and dropped out. Namanya is married and now has three children. To sustain her family, Namanya runs a small lock-up shop in Rukungiri town where she sells groceries such as vegetables, tomatoes, and carrots. However, her capital is very limited, and the profits she earns are barely enough to support her family. Her husband works as a primary school teacher. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children.
Namanya is pregnant, and her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Namanya undergo a C-Section on January 15th. This procedure will cost $252, and Namanya needs your support.
Namanya says, “Even though I have this small business, the profits I get can’t enable me to afford the cost of my surgery. I kindly appeal for your support.”
