Yohana is a one-month-old baby boy and the youngest of five children. His parents care for livestock to support their family.
Yohana has clubfoot on both feet. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. The tissues connecting the muscle to the bones are shorter than usual and this causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes.
Fortunately, Yohana’s family traveled to visit our medical partner’s care center, Kafika House. Surgeons will begin clubfoot treatment on February 25th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $341 to fund Yohana’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, he will be able to wear shoes and walk well.
Yohana’s mother says, “Please help my son because it will be hard for him to cope with life if he grows older with this condition.”
