Luis Angel is student from Colombia. He is a very outgoing, cheerful, intelligent, and quick-witted boy who loves to explore the world around him. He is an excellent student and excels especially in math. He really enjoys playing and interacting with other children. He also loves to dance, sing and has a deep love for animals. He is an affectionate boy who constantly shows his care for others. Eight years ago, Luis Angel was diagnosed with an umbilical hernia, a condition in which a small portion of abdominal tissue protrudes through the navel. Umbilical hernias usually cause mild discomfort or tenderness around the navel, especially when the child cries, coughs, or strains. They can also cause visible swelling, making the belly button protrude, which sometimes leads to discomfort. At this stage, Luis Angel experiences abdominal pain, which sometimes makes it difficult for him to engage in activities, such as playing or participating in sports. Although it generally does not cause severe pain, it does cause discomfort that makes it difficult for him to perform daily activities, such as playing, jumping, and fully enjoying his childhood. Additionally, if not treated properly, there is a risk of complications. Fortunately, on June 24th, he will undergo repair surgery at our medical partner's care center. Our medical partner, Clinica Noel, is requesting $1,005 to fund Luis Angel's surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably. Luis Angel's parent shared, "To anyone who wishes to support my son financially, I would like to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude for thinking of a child’s well-being and future. Your help contributes to making my son’s dreams come true and gives him the opportunity to achieve a better quality of life. After the surgery, we hope he will be able to develop fully, without limitations, discomfort, or pain that prevent him from carrying out his daily and athletic activities. With this, he will be able to demonstrate his full potential and begin to chart his path toward fulfilling his dreams."

Kam is a 57-year-old man from Burma. He lives with his wife, his son, and his daughter in Mae Sot District, Tak Province, Thailand. He is a hop vendor, while his wife is a homemaker. Both their children go to a migrant school in Mae Sot. On the 4th of April 2026, Kam bought different vegetables from the main shop to sell them by the roadside. On the way to the market, a truck came behind him and suddenly hit him, making him lose consciousness. He woke up at our medical partner's care center, where an x-ray which revealed that his left femur is fractured and he needs surgery for it to heal properly. He is in pain, and he cannot move his left leg. His right arm is also in pain, and he cannot walk or stand up. With the help of our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, Kam will undergo surgery to reset his fractured bones and ensure proper healing. The procedure is scheduled for May 7th and will cost $1,500. This procedure will help Kam to be able to walk and be free from pain so that he will be able to return to his work and support his family. Kam said, "I really need your help at this moment, and I have no one and no money to help me now. Thank you very much for your support."

14-year-old Jeng lives in Shan State, Burma, with his grandmother, parents, two uncles, and five siblings. His grandmother is retired, while his parents work on a banana farm. One of his uncles is a subsistence farmer who grows rice, while Jeng, his other uncle and his siblings - except the youngest one who is too young to enroll - are students. His parents' income is just enough for their daily expenses. In June 2025, Jeng began experiencing frequent nosebleeds from his right nostril. At first, his father would use tissues to pack his nose and stop the bleeding, which resolved the issue temporarily. Later on, Jeng's symptoms worsened; the nosebleeds became recurrent, and could no longer be stopped by packing the nose with tissue. Jeng also felt as though something was blocking his nostril. He visited a local clinic, where the doctor performed a basic physical examination, and recommended that he travel to a major city to seek medical attention. Since Jeng and his family can only speak a bit of Burmese, his father decided against bringing him to a hospital in a larger city in Burma. Instead, through their acquaintance, they went to a hospital in northern Thailand in November 2025. At the hospital, the doctor performed a physical examination, and ordered a Computed Tomography (CT) scan. Jeng was diagnosed with juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma in the right nasal cavity. This is a rare, vascular tumor that is non-cancerous, but very aggressive. Recently, Jeng was brought by his father to our medical partner's care center in Chiang Mai, where the the doctor advised that he would need to undergo another CT scan before planning for surgery. A CT scan is a procedure in which X-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. This scan will hopefully help the doctors confirm Jeng's diagnosis, and formulate an appropriate treatment plan. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $469 to cover the cost of Jeng's CT scan, which is scheduled for August 3rd, at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital. Jeng's father said, “I am exhausted from trying to find treatment for him. I have had to visit many hospitals for his care. I also feel stressed because I am in debt for his treatment, and I feel sad that there is no one to help me. I hope my son can undergo the surgery. I feel really thankful from the bottom of my heart that the donors are willing to help my son’s treatment. Thank you so much for accepting him and supporting his treatment. I hope he can go back to school after the surgery, and I will support whatever he wants to be in the future.”
