Myo is a 34-year-old man from Burma. He lives with his wife, daughter, and son in Tak Province, Thailand. Myo used to work as a day labourer on construction sites while his wife is a homemaker. He had to stop his work for two months because of his health issues. He moved to Thailand in September 2023 to reunite with his family, who were already living there.
In July 2023, Myo started to experience a swollen mass in a sensitive area of his body. The mass causes pain and discomfort. He took oral antibiotics and painkillers, which appeared to address his symptoms. In January 2025, the symptoms came back. He did not seek treatment due to financial constraints and the lack of legal documentation. As a result of his condition, he has been unable to work, further reducing the family’s income.
Myo sought treatment through our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund. He is now scheduled to undergo mass removal surgery on August 20th, and needs help to raise $1,500 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
Myo said, “Thank you so much to this organization and the donors for assisting with my treatment costs. I cannot express how grateful I am for your help. I hope you can continue this noble work for a very long time and support other patients in need, just like me. After the surgery and full recovery, I plan to resume my work for my family’s daily expenses.”
