Alituha is a taxi driver from Uganda. He is 20 years old and married with one son. Alituha met his wife at a tea factory, where he used to work as a picker and she used to work as a cleaner. Now, his wife is a farmer who grows food for the family.
About a year ago, Alituha developed a right inguinal scrotal hernia. As a result, he experiences abdominal pain. The pain worsens when he carries heavy things and walks long distances. Fortunately, on April 18, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Alituha’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Alituha says, “After surgery I will be able to carry passengers’ luggage.”
