David is a 77-year-old man from Uganda. He is married and has nine children. He and his wife have depended on small-scale farming as their primary source of livelihood. However, as he has grown older, his physical strength has declined, leaving him unable to engage in farming as he once did.
For the past two years, David has had a hydrocele, a swelling in a sensitive part of his body. Over time, the swelling had progressively increased in size, causing him discomfort and making it increasingly difficult for him to carry out his daily activities.
Fortunately, on October 29th, David will undergo repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $201 to fund David’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
David says, “I am very grateful to the medical team of Ibanda Hospital for the care, and I hope to have a successful operation. After recovering from the operation, I will resume farming.”
