Zulfa is a girl from Tanzania. She is the youngest in a family of three. She will start school next year.
For some time, Zulfa has been experiencing sleep apnea. She was recently diagnosed with enlarged tonsils, which, if not treated, will cause her symptoms to persist and possibly intensify over time.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $633 to fund a tonsillectomy for Zulfa, which is scheduled to take place on January 17. Surgeons will remove her tonsils, hopefully relieving Zulfa of her symptoms and helping her live more comfortably.
Zulfa’s mother says, “I would be really thankful if my daughter can get treatment. This condition has been making her life difficult due to regular fevers and not being able to sleep due to the difficulty in breathing.”
