Veasna is a 24-year-old rice and crop farmer from Cambodia. He is married with one son and enjoys watching boxing on TV in his free time.
Veasna sustained an injury to his right eye from a bamboo stick, which resulted in the development of a cataract. Due to his cataract, he experiences blurred vision, pain, and tearing. It is difficult for him to see things clearly, work, or go anywhere on his own.
Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $211 to fund cataract surgery for Veasna’s right eye. The surgery is scheduled to take place on June 26 and, once completed, will restore Veasna’s clear vision and allow him to live more comfortably.
