Alejandro is an 11-year-old boy who lives in Colombia with his family. He is a smart, kind, and very friendly boy who enjoys spending time with the people around him. He dreams of becoming a veterinarian when he grows up, as he has a deep love for animals and wishes to help and protect them. His infectious energy, positive attitude, and kindness leave a special impression on everyone who has the chance to meet him. A year ago, Alejandro developed an umbilical hernia, a condition in which a small portion of abdominal tissue protrudes through the navel. Alejandro has been experiencing pain and discomfort especially when coughing or doing any strenuous activities. Surgery has been recommended to correct the hernia and prevent possible future complications. Fortunately, on August 14th, Alejandro will undergo repair surgery at Clínica Noel. Alejandro's family is requesting support to raise $1,005 to fund Alejandro's surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live healthier. Alejandro's mother says, "I am very grateful for your support to my son. It is a tremendous blessing for our family. Grace, who is 39 years old, is a small-scale businesswoman from Malawi. Grace is married with two children, and sells traditional drinks to earn income. After the birth of her second child in 2017, Grace's friend noticed a swelling on Grace's neck. Grace was completely asymptomatic until 2025, when she began to experience neck heaviness, frequent coughing, a hoarse voice and overwhelming fatigue. She was diagnosed with a goiter, and doctors advised that she would need to undergo a thyroidectomy. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Grace receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy on June 8th, at Partners in Hope Medical Center, during which surgeons will remove all or part of her thyroid gland. This procedure will cost $1,015, and Grace and her family need your help raising the money. Grace believes that the thyroidectomy will help her to get better, and enable her to concentrate on her business and family support. She said: "I have 100% hope that surgery will restore my health and make me well again to continue supporting my family."

Sonita is an eight-year-old girl from Cambodia. She is in the third grade and lives in Kampong Chhnang Province with her parents and younger sister, who is in kindergarten. Her father works as a construction worker, and her mother works in a garment factory. She enjoys playing games with her friends, her favorite subject is Khmer, and she hopes to become a teacher when she grows up. During her free time, she enjoys playing games with her friends. Sonita developed weakness and stiffness in her left arm after suffering from a brain hemorrhage when she was only one and a half months old. She was hospitalized and required emergency treatment at that time. Since then, the brain injury has affected the nerves controlling her left arm, causing weakness, limited movement, and difficulty using her hand. Although she has received physiotherapy and has improved over time, she still cannot fully move her wrist and fingers, making it difficult to hold objects, write, dress herself, and perform some daily activities. She needs to undergo a tendon and nerve repair procedure to help regain strength and mobility. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is helping Sonita receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo the tendon and nerve repair procedure on July 20th. This procedure will cost $701, and Sonita and her family need your support. Sonita's mother said, “I hope this surgery will help my daughter use her left hand better so she can hold objects, play, and take care of herself more easily. I want her to grow up with greater confidence and independence.”
