Loice is a mother of two children and a widow. She lost her husband last year to meningitis. Life has been hard for her since then. Her children are all grown but not employed. She lives alone, in a single roomed house. She is a tailor, but her work is highly seasonal.
Loice noticed a small lump on her right breast this past January. She was diagnosed with cancer and a mastectomy was recommended. Loice is not able to raise any money for this treatment.
Loice says, “I wish to be treated and live longer with fewer health issues. I pray that funds will be available.”
Fortunately, she will undergo the needed surgery on August 9. Our medical partner is requesting $816 to fund her treatment.

Loice underwent a mastectomy.
Loice had successful surgery in our medical partner’s facility and was discharged. She has been recovering well and started her clinical visits. Loice is grateful, as the surgery reduced chances of further spread of cancer. She is hopeful that subsequent chemo/radio treatment will be successful.
Loice says, “My prayer is that I will be well soon and that planned treatment for me will also be as successful as the one I received. Thank you Watsi.”
