Mollen is a 17-year-old girl from Uganda, and the first-born child in a family of three children. Presently, she lives with her uncle who helps to support her education. Her uncle is a small-scale farmer who grows maize and beans on rented farmland.
About six years ago, Mollen developed a mass on her chin. She had previously undergone surgery to remove the mass, but unfortunately, it recurred. Mollen was brought to the hospital by her uncle to seek further medical attention.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Mollen receive treatment. On September 3rd, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Mollen’s family needs help to raise $72 to fund this procedure.
Mollen’s uncle says, “I am grateful to God for enabling me to bring my daughter at Ibanda hospital to seek for treatment. I am hopeful to get assistance from the donor program because I am unable to raise money for her operation. I will keep practicing farming and taking care of Mollen so she can finish her studies.’’
