Srey Neang has a bilateral equinus deformity, a condition that causes tightness in her Achilles tendon and results in limited motion of her ankles.
For the last three years, Srey Neang has not been able to put any weight on her heels. Impressively, she has learned to balance on her toes, but she has tremendous difficulty walking and it’s hard for her to keep up with other kids.
Srey Neang and her mother took a five hour bus ride to visit CSC. Srey Neang is an only child and her parents are both farmers. Her favorite subject is math, and we have high hopes that if her condition is corrected, she can continue with school and get a good job one day.
It will cost $300 for CSC to provide Srey Neang with surgery to correct her condition and give her the opportunity to continue with school.
