Vili is a 58-year-old accounts officer from Malawi. He is married with four grown children. Due to worsening pain from his condition, he is no longer able to work, and his wife, a primary school teacher, has since become the sole breadwinner for the family. Two years ago, Vili was diagnosed with a right inguinal hernia. Over time, the swelling became more frequent and increasingly painful, affecting his concentration and eventually forcing him to stop working altogether. Fortunately, on May 6th, Vili will undergo hernia repair surgery with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. He is raising $575 to fund the surgery, which will allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. "God has shown me Mercy to reach this far, and I have hope that your support will change my life. I am patiently waiting for your consideration," said Vili.

Kreshzna is a 12-year-old girl from the Philippines. She is in the sixth grade, loves studying, and excels in class. She enjoys drawing and is eagerly involved in school. Her father works as a carwash attendant and is the sole breadwinner of the family. Her mother had to stop working to care for her Kreshzna full time. Kreshzna was born with a congenital condition in the lower digestive tract, which leads to a partial or complete intestinal blockage. She needs to undergo a series of procedures to address her condition. Fortunately, on September 12th, our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines, will help Kreshzna undergo corrective surgery. A portion of the cost of her treatment is being supported by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and WSFP is raising $1,123 to cover the remaining cost of Kreshzna's procedure and care. "We are deeply grateful for Kreshzna's surgery. This helps a lot with our financial burden, and it gives our daughter a chance to receive the treatment we have been waiting for since she was an infant," Kreshzna's family shared.

Dah is a 52-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her husband, two daughters, and a son in the village in Karen State, Burma. Dah and her husband work as agricultural day laborers. Currently, Dah experiences back pain while sitting for long periods. She was diagnosed with gallstones and has been advised to undergo a cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder. If left untreated, Dah's symptoms will continue to worsen and put her at risk for further health complications in the future. After seeking treatment through our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund (BCMF), Dah is scheduled to undergo her cholecystectomy on June 25th. BCMF is requesting $1,500 to cover the total cost of Dah's procedure and care. Dah said, “We do not have work every day. If there is work available but I have back and stomach pain, I cannot work, so we do not have income for the day that I did not get to work. I wish I could get the surgery and be free from this pain, but I do not have the money. Thank you so much for helping me. Without your help, I had decided that I would just stay with the stone inside me for the rest of my life.”
