Paskali is a 62-year-old father of eight children from Uganda. He is the second-born in a family of ten children. He and his wife are small-scale farmers.
For the past five years, Paskali has had a hernia. He has a swelling in his lower abdomen and experiences abdominal discomfort and pain. The swelling worsens over time, and he is unable to bend or carry out physical work. As his condition has progressed, he has become increasingly weak and unable to perform his usual activities.
Paskali has sought treatment from various clinics, where he was advised to undergo hernia repair surgery; however, he was unable to raise the required funds. He also tried using local herbal remedies, but there was no improvement in his condition.
Fortunately, on June 2nd, Paskali will undergo hernia repair surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $234 to fund Paskali’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Paskali says, “I cannot even bend and do work or walk long distances because of my condition.”
