Stellamaris is a 55-year-old woman from Uganda. She is married and a mother of eight children. Her family depends on her because her husband is blind due to diabetes and is no longer able to work. Stellamaris engages in small-scale farming to take care of her family. She has always put the needs of her family before her own, but today, she is the one in need of a helping hand.
Stellamaris was referred to our medical partner’s care center, Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital, for a mass on her right palm. She had previously sought treatment at different clinics, where she underwent two attempts to have the mass excised. Unfortunately, the mass persisted.
On August 20th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Stellamaris needs help to raise $72 to fund this procedure.
Stellamaris says, “I am deeply thankful to the doctor and nurses for the care. However, I am unable to afford the hospital bills required for the operation. I kindly request you for the support for my surgery. After recovering from the operation, I will resume my daily work of farming.”
