Patricia is a maize and groundnut farmer from Malawi. Her three children and four grandchildren help her on the farm. In her free time, Patricia likes to relax and chat with her children, grandchildren, and village friends.
In 2013, Patricia developed abdominal pain. She delayed getting care because she could not afford treatment. When she finally visited our medical partner’s hospital, Nkhoma District Hospital, she was diagnosed with a hernia. On November 17, Patricia underwent a repair surgery.
Now, Patricia needs help to fund this $327 procedure. She looks forward to recovering and taking care of her family.
