Monic is a 29-year-old farmer and mother from Uganda. After completing primary seven, she took a six-month tailoring course; however, she was unable to pursue this career path due to financial constraints. Monic then worked as a housemaid for a few years to support her mother financially. Later, through her friend, Monic met her future husband. She and her husband now practice small-scale farming by working on other people’s farms. During her free time, Monic enjoys spending time with her family.
Monic is currently expecting a new baby. Her doctors recommended that she deliver via a Caesarean section to ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Monic undergo a C-section on May 8th. This procedure will cost $207, and Monic needs your support.
Monic said, “I thank God for bringing me safely to Ibanda Hospital to attend the gynecology clinic. I am grateful to the doctor for connecting me with the SAFE program. I hope I will be considered for the funding of my operation. I will keep practicing farming in order to get money and buy my own land.’’
