Chin is a father of seven from Cambodia. He is a rice farmer. He has three sons and four daughters. He likes to listen to social programs and monks pray on the radio.
One year ago, Chin developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurry vision. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Chin learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for two and a half hours seeking treatment. On June 5, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope my surgery is successful so that I can do my work at home, spend time with family, and go to the pagoda independently.”
