Isaac is a 25-year-old man from Uganda. He is a small-scale farmer who grows beans and maize on other people’s land. His farming activities provide him with only a modest income, which is insufficient to meet his family’s needs as well as the cost of his medical treatment.
For a year, Isaac has had an inguinal hernia. The pain caused by the hernia has made it increasingly difficult for Isaac to continue with his usual activities and livelihood. Without financial support, meeting the cost of the herniorrhaphy remains a significant challenge for him and his family. With the treatment he needs, he will recover from his condition and return to the activities that provide for his family.
Fortunately, on September 17th, he will undergo repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $201 to fund Isaac’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
Isaac says, “I thank God for protecting my life up to this time. I hope to get assistance from the donor program since I don’t have money for my operation. I will keep practicing farming and get money to buy my own land.’’
