Lee Ann is 28 years old and a single mother of three from the Philippines. She currently lives with her extended family, including an aunt and grandmother.
Five years ago, Lee Ann began to experience troubling symptoms, including strong pain in her back, side, and stomach. The pain was intolerable, preventing her from working and carrying out daily tasks comfortably.
Lee Ann has been advised to undergo a cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder. If left untreated, her symptoms will continue to worsen and put him at risk for further health complications in the future.
After seeking treatment through our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), Lee Ann is scheduled to undergo a cholecystectomy on September 27th. A portion of the cost of the procedure is being supported by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, and WSFP is raising the remaining $423 to cover the cost of Lee Ann’s surgery and care.
Lee Ann shared, “I am very thankful for the possible free surgery and medical help I will receive from the foundation. This made me hopeful for the future, not just for me but for my family as well.”
