Twinomugisha is a 50-year-old woman from Uganda. She is married and has three children.
Five years ago, Twinomugisha began to experience prolonged lower abdominal pain and painful vaginal bleeding. Due to the bleeding, Twinomugisha is also at risk of developing severe anemia. Upon visiting the hospital, she was diagnosed with uterine fibroids. A total abdominal hysterectomy was recommended.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Twinomugisha’s surgery. The procedure is scheduled to take place on June 29 and, once completed, will hopefully allow Twinomugisha to live comfortably and free from pain.
“I hope to start a business when I am better so as I may continue taking care of my family,” says Twinomugisha.
