Danilo is a caretaker from the Philippines. Danilo, his partner, and his son live with the family Danilo works for. His housing, electricity, water, and food are all provided. In exchange, Danilo takes care of the house and his partner helps with the household chores. Danilo’s son works as a painter.
Four years ago, Danilo was diagnosed with an indirect inguinal hernia. Since his discomfort started during the COVID-19 pandemic, he did not have the chance to seek medical attention right away. As the years passed, he felt more discomfort and pain. He also has difficulty walking due to his condition.
Fortunately, on January 25th, Danilo will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Our Lady of Peace Hospital. A portion of the cost of Danilo’s treatment is being supported by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation. Our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines, is requesting $1,038 to cover the cost of his surgery and care. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Danilo shared, “I am deeply grateful for the support I will receive. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the individuals and organizations that assist those in need like me. Thank you very much to all of you. This surgery will greatly benefit me and my family.”
