Prosper is a 32-year-old living with his wife and three-year-old child. While he has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, he has been unable to find full time employment, and works as a photographer to earn a living. His wife hopes to find a teaching job soon. Currently, they rent two rooms where his family lives.
Approximately six years ago, Prosper developed a small swelling on his scalp that has slowly started to increase in size. At first it was not too worrisome, however, when he went for a haircut, the barber noticed how prominent the growth had become. Prosper began to experience mild pain and discomfort. He is worried about what could happen in the future if the growth remains untreated, but he doesn’t have the money required for the necessary treatment.
Fortunately, Prosper traveled to our medical partner’s care center to seek help. On May 16th, surgeons at Rushroza Hospital will remove the mass. Now, our medical partner African Mission Healthcare needs help to raise $145 to fund his procedure.
Prosper says: “I am worried that the swelling will continue to increase in size. I believe I will be normal again through surgery, and will no longer have to worry about further growth of the mass.”
