Luarine is a one-year-old little girl from Uganda. She lives with her mother (named Recite), father, and brother. Recite works as a subsistence farmer, growing potatoes, cassava, maize, yams, and other crops for both consumption and to sell. Both Recite and her husband hope their children grow up to be successful individuals.
About three weeks ago, Luarine started losing her appetite. Recite took her to the doctor, where she was diagnosed with malnutrition. On August 4, Luarine will begin receiving treatment for her malnutrition at our medical partner’s care center, Bwindi Community Hospital. Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is asking for $316 to cover the cost of Luarine’s treatment. Her family has contributed $1 towards her treatment.
“I thank the donors for supporting my daughter’s treatment,” says Recite. “I pray God blesses and protects the donors in everything they do to support the needy.”
