Six-year-old Srey Lin lives with her family in Cambodia. She has one older brother and one older sister, and enjoys playing with toys, painting, and watching music videos.
Srey Lin’s uncle brought her to our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), because of a persistent swelling on her right eye. CSC diagnosed Srey Lin with a chalazion — a benign cyst that causes pain, burning, discharge, and swelling.
I am afraid it will get bigger and I won’t be able to see,” Srey Lin shares.
For $150, we can fund a chalazion removal surgery for Srey Lin. “After a chalazion incision surgery, Srey Lin’s cyst will be removed and her pain and irritation will be relieved,” CSC says.
Srey Lin’s uncle adds: ”I hope I won’t have to worry about her vision becoming worse in the future.”
