Radin lives with his family in South Cotabato, Philippines. They live in a small bamboo and palm leaf hut, where Radin loves to play.
Radin requires treatment for moderate acute malnutrition (MAM). Babies and children with MAM have an increased risk of mortality, infections, and impaired physical and cognitive development.
Our medical partner, International Care Ministries (ICM), has registered Radin in a treatment program that begins on February 20. The program will provide Radin with nutrient-rich food packs, and his weight will be monitored on a weekly basis. The staff at ICM will teach Radin’s mother about preparing nutritious meals for her son.
Radin’s parents are laborers and do not have a stable income. They need help to pay for Radin’s treatment, which will cost $184.
Radin’s mother says, “I hope Radin recovers from malnutrition and he becomes strong. I dream that my son will finish his studies and become a teacher.”
