Speriya is a 43-year-old woman and a devoted mother of three children from Uganda. She and her husband engage in small-scale farming to meet their family’s basic needs.
Four years ago, Speriya developed an umbilical hernia. The condition has significantly affected her quality of life and her ability to support her family. She is in constant pain and discomfort, making everyday tasks challenging.
Fortunately, on July 3rd, she will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Rushoroza Hospital. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $170 to fund Speriya’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably and confidently.
Siperiya says, “I have lived with this pain for a long time, and every day it becomes harder to care for my children and work in the garden. I have searched for treatment in many places without success. Today, I humbly ask for your support so that I can receive this surgery, regain my health, and continue providing for my family. Your kindness will give me a second chance at life. May God richly bless everyone who stands with me.”
