Kemishango is a 67-year-old Ugandan farmer. She is married, and has five children, who are also all farmers!
She has experienced painful swelling in the upper, central region of her abdomen for a long time. Her pain affects her ability to farm and live out her daily life.
Kemishango has never sought medical attention due to her family’s financial situation. Fortunately, she was connected with Watsi and was able to make the decision to visit one of our medical partner’s care centers for help. There, Kemishango was diagnosed with a hernia and will need surgery to repair it and alleviate her pain.
She is scheduled to receive treatment on July 6. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is seeking $219 to fund everything Kemishango needs for her procedure and to recover properly.
Kemishango looks forward to being relieved of her pain and is excited to be able to get back to farming again.
