Annet is a 37-year-old mother of two boys. The family lives in Uganda, where Annet and her husband practice small scale farming to provide food for their family, and to produce a surplus for sale to meet other household needs.
For more than 10 years, Annet has lived with a mass on the left side of her neck. The mass has gradually increased in size, and she frequently experiences pain and difficulty turning her head. She has been managing the pain with painkillers, but recently, her discomfort has become much more severe. A friend advised Annet to seek medical care at Rwibaale Hospital.
Annet traveled to Rwibaale Hospital to be evaluated. On September 2nd, surgeons will remove the mass. Now Annet, and our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, need your help to raise $153 to fund this procedure, which will alleviate Annet’s symptoms.
Annet said: “I am very happy because I hope to find relief from the pain, and be able to move my neck in all directions after recovery.”
