Sarin is a grandfather from Cambodia. He has one daughter and two grandkids. He likes to watch boxing matches, read the newspaper, and listen to monks pray on the radio. He is a rice farmer.
A year ago, Sarin developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurry vision, tearing, and photophobia. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Sarin learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On November 1, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope I can see clearly so I can do work at home and go about my life independently.”
