Lucky is a 27-year-old shopkeeper from Uganda. When she had just enrolled into a teacher’s training college, Lucky lost her father and could not proceed with her training. She got married soon after and delivered her first child, who unfortunately died four days later due to unknown causes. Her husband is a primary school teacher, and both look forward to raising children.
Lucky got pregnant soon after, and is currently expecting her second child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of short inter-pregnancy interval. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Lucky undergo a C-Section on July 9th. This procedure will cost $252, and Lucky needs your support.
Lucky says, “The loss of our first child was hard on us, to an extent that we were almost breaking up. The news of this pregnancy was like a second chance, and this is why we are so careful. However, we cannot afford the surgery, and kindly appeal to you for support.”
