Rovinah is 29 years old and a farmer from Uganda. She has four brothers. She has faced hardship from an early age, losing her twin sister at birth and her mother at four months old. Her father worked very hard to ensure that she and her four brothers could go to school. However, soon after she completed Senior 4, her father also passed away. She and her husband are small-scale farmers. During her free time, she also washes clothes for neighbors to earn extra money to support her family.
Rovinah is currently expecting her second child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section due to a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Rovinah undergo a C-Section on October 2nd. This procedure will cost $252, and Rovinah needs your support.
Rovinah says, “Because of my income, I don’t see myself in a position of raising the amount of money needed for my surgery, I kindly appeal to you for support.”
