Lwin is a 25-year-old man who lives and cares for his aging parents, also pitching in to support his nephew and cousin. An agricultural day-laborer, Lwin’s work has become increasingly difficult as he’s developed a condition that results in painful urination.
Doctors have identified the cause of Lwin’s pain as stemming from chronic kidney disease, for which he has demonstrated symptoms for over 15 years.
A $1,500 surgery can address Lwin’s kidney disease, and help him return home to his village and family. With our support, Lwin can work free from the pain that has affected him for years, and pursue his dreams of marrying his girlfriend and building a Buddhist temple!

Lwin received surgery to treat his kidney disease.
Before the surgery, Lwin could not control his bladder and, plagued by embarrassment, stopped attending school. Since the operation, Lwin can urinate normally and pain-free for the first time in 15 years! He also reports feeling more confident. He is excited to go back to work and pursue his dreams of marrying his girlfriend.
