“We believe that Jordan was born to serve a purpose in this world,” his mother says. “We pray that he will survive, later on go to school and eventually be helpful to us and the society at large.”
Jordan is a newborn from Tanzania and the firstborn in his family. His parents married a little over a year ago and tell us they are “very happy to be blessed with a baby boy.” Jordan’s father supports the family, working as a guard for a local electronic company. His mother does not currently work because she spends all her time taking care of Jordan, who has developed a mass on the left side of his neck that has been swelling progressively since birth.
“The mass is compromising his airways and his esophagus,” report his doctors at the African Mission Healthcare Foundation. “If not treated, Jordan will not be able to breathe or feed properly.”
Jordan’s parents have already been to several hospitals looking for treatment for their son, and Jordan’s father is struggling to support the family financially.
$450 will cover the full cost of surgery, medication and hospitalization for little Jordan. His doctors add, “We expect that after treatment, Jordan will be out of danger. He will be able to breathe and eat without difficulties.” Let’s provide the funding for Jordan to have that chance.
