Chann is a 51-year-old father of four from Cambodia. He lives with his wife and one of his daughters in Phnom Penh. Their other three children have moved out and live in different areas of the city. Chann’s wife sells groceries from the front of their house. Chann used to work as a mechanic but had to stop following a stroke. At home, he helps organize the inventory for his wife’s grocery stall. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and watching Cambodian boxing.
Two years ago, Chann had a stroke, which resulted in weakness on his right side, including limited shoulder movement and muscle spasms in his right arm. Chann needs to undergo a tendon and nerve repair procedure.
Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is helping Chann receive treatment. He is scheduled to undergo the tendon and nerve repair procedure on February 12th. Chann and his family can contribute $100 but need help to raise $472 more to fund this procedure.
Chhan’s wife shared, “I hope he can get some movement back and feel more happy and independent.”
