Daroo is a 17-year-old from Cambodia who loves to play soccer in his free time and is currently in the 11th grade. Unfortunately, over the past few months, Daroo has been having difficulty walking. He was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in his hip, a form of arthritis that causes inflammation in spinal joints.
Daroo rarely leaves his house because of this condition. He sought treatment at a small rural hospital and was sent from there to our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre. In order to regain his full strength, Daroo needs a total hip replacement.
For $500, we can fund Daroo’s surgery so he can regain his mobility and continue to play soccer!
