Lennox is eight years old and a third-grader from Kenya. He is the second-born in a family of three. He loves interacting with others and always wears a bright smile.
Lennox was born with hemiplegic cerebral palsy, a condition that affects one side of his body and makes walking difficult. Since he was young, his parents have struggled to find the right help for him. They visited several hospitals where Lennox underwent casting and physiotherapy, but sadly, his condition did not improve. “We struggled a lot to look for the right hospital to treat my son until we found Cure Hospital, and now my heart and mind are at ease,” Lennox’s father shared.
Lennox has clubfoot on his right foot. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes. Fortunately, our medical partner’s care center, AIC Cure International Hospital, can help. There, surgeons will perform clubfoot repair surgery on February 19th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,286 to fund Lennox’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, he will be able to walk and participate fully in school and daily life.
“Based on what I have experienced at CURE, with the excellent services and care, I know that when we go back home, my son will be better,” Lennox’s father said with hope.
