Mark is a 23-month-old boy and the youngest in a family of four children from Marugu village. Mark’s father is a laborer, doing farm work at neighboring farms, and his mother is a homemaker.
Mark’s parents recently took him to a health center, where he was diagnosed with cryptorchidism, a condition in which one or both of the testicles remains undescended. If left untreated, Mark has an increased risk of developing hernias, testicular cancer, and other complications in the future.
Our medical partner African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF) is able to help, and Mark is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on June 19th. AMHF is requesting $483 to cover the cost of the procedure.
Mark’s father shared, “We saw the dangers of this condition on TV and would not like the same to happen to our son. Kindly assist us so that he can be back to a normal boy.”
