Patience is a 21-year-old farmer from Kenya. She is married and has a young child who doesn’t attend school yet. Patience’s husband cooks meals for students at one of the local schools for work. Patience is currently working as a farmer to supplement their income. She attended school until seventh grade, and then was trained as a tailor. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Patience is expecting her second child! She has been going to our medical partners at Karoli Lwanga Hospital for her prenatal care. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of her higher risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Patience is scheduled to undergo a C-Section on February 22nd. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $252 to fund the procedure.
Patience says, “I request for your consideration to enable me to deliver my baby well and alive. I am looking forward to continuing with my farming after surgery.”
