Phanny is a 38-year-old farmer from Cambodia. He is married and has one son and three daughters. In his free time, he enjoys watching TV, listening to music on the radio, and relaxing at home.
In January 2017, Phanny dislocated his right ankle when some wood rolled over it. His wound from the incident never healed and became infected. Over time, he started to experience pus drainage and numbness in his foot. It became difficult for him to walk, and he has been unable to work.
Thus, he visited our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). Surgeons at CSC will perform an external fixation procedure of Phanny’s right ankle to stabilize his joint and allow him to walk easily again. CSC has scheduled the procedure for April 21, and they are requesting $411 to fund the treatment.
